In Cyprus, serial robbers of village kiosks have been caught

The police in the Nicosia district have arrested a man and a woman for a series of armed robberies of kiosks. The robbers threatened the sellers at these points with a knife.

According to the police press service, a total of three kiosk robberies were registered over the last three days in the villages of Psimolofou and Ergates, as well as in the suburb of Lakatamia, Antoupoli. Additionally, a store in the village of Arediou was robbed.

It is reported that the 24-year-old female suspect robbed three kiosks, threatening the staff with a knife. She managed to steal money from two of the kiosks, but in the third one, she was unsuccessful as the employee refused to hand over the proceeds.

In the Arediou store, the woman placed a bag on the counter and claimed that there was a gun inside. She then demanded money from the employee behind the counter.

During the investigation conducted by the police in Lakatamia and the village of Kiti, it was established that the 24-year-old woman was involved in all four robberies. She was arrested along with a 28-year-old male accomplice.
