An infant has been hospitalized in critical condition in Limassol after being electrocuted. Doctors were able to restart the heart of the 22-month-old boy.

According to the police, the incident occurred today around 9 AM in a family home in Ypsonas. At the time of the tragedy, the baby's mother was in the kitchen while the child was playing in the living room, where a vacuum cleaner was plugged in and running.

After some time, the mother found the child unconscious and called an ambulance. Rescuers determined that the child had received an electric shock, causing his heart to stop. The injured baby was hospitalized in very critical condition and has been intubated.
