On February 9th, cloudy weather with brief showers is expected in Cyprus

According to the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus, on Friday, February 9th, the region is affected by weak low pressure. Starting from Sunday, there might be a presence of fine dust in the air.

Today, in the first half of the day, the weather will be occasionally cloudy, with isolated showers mainly in the western half of the island. After noon, local showers and isolated storms are expected, mainly in the eastern half of the island. The wind will be southwest and northwest, ranging from light to moderate.

According to the meteorological service forecast, the daytime air temperature today will reach up to 18°C in inland areas, up to 19°C on the coasts, and up to 11°C in mountainous areas.

By evening, increased cloudiness will persist, which may result in isolated showers, mainly in coastal areas. Locally, light fog is possible in the morning hours.

The air temperature will drop to around 7°C in inland areas, to 8°C on the coasts, and to 3°C in mountainous areas.

It is also noted that the snow cover height in the Troodos Mountains at the time of bulletin release has decreased to 2 cm.

Over the next three days, the temperature will slightly increase and remain above average climatic values.
