A new organization, the "Cyprus Autism Association," has been founded in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). This organization is dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disorders.

The Association held its inaugural meeting at the end of last week, during which it was officially announced and the president and board members were appointed.

The primary goal of the Association is to engage in awareness campaigns to make individuals with various conditions more visible in society and to promote their social integration.

The focus includes individuals with disorders such as autism spectrum disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, developmental delays, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other developmental issues.

Additionally, the Association plans to offer informational and educational services, conduct seminars, and organize workshops.

"The Cyprus Autism Association is committed to ensuring that every individual can reach their potential and enjoys equal rights in all areas of life. Organizing conferences, camps, and training sessions is one of our main goals," said the Association's President, Duğu Göze Ergöknil.
