Ambulance services in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) receive 85-100 calls per day

In Northern Cyprus, there are 15 emergency stations and 23 vehicles providing urgent assistance. The emergency service 112 receives between 85 and 100 calls daily, according to the head of the 112 emergency service, Deputy Chief Medical Officer Hasan Birtan, as reported by Kıbrıs Postası. From December 1 to 7, the TRNC observed "Emergency Medical Services Week."

The emergency service handles between 2,000 to 3,000 calls daily, including police and fire service calls. The ambulance service, specifically, receives an average of 85-100 messages per day.

The head of the 112 service also shared information that ambulances with red stripes respond to emergency calls, while vehicles with blue stripes are responsible for patient transportation.

Hasan Birtan noted that the emergency service team is growing every day, and in the last two months, two new ambulance drivers have joined the team.

The head of the emergency service also addressed drivers stuck in traffic, emphasizing that vehicles with active lights and sirens should be given the right of way.
