Drunk driver crashes into car on Lefkoşa–Güzelyurt highway

On the Lefkoşa–Güzelyurt highway, a man under the influence of alcohol collided with a car stopped at a traffic light. According to the police, 35-year-old Asıf Raza, with a blood alcohol level of 153 mg/dL, was driving a van with license plate GY 969 toward Lefkoşa and around 21:00 hit a car PA 612, driven by 27-year-old Beyza Ünal, which was stopped at a red light.
The accident resulted in no injuries, but the van driver was detained on suspicion of driving under the influence. Police are conducting an investigation.
