President of the TRNC Participates in the 15th Turkey Investment Conference
President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ersin Tatar, attended the 15th Turkey Investment Conference, organized by the Turkey-U.S. Business Council (TAIK) at the New York Public Library.
During the event, President Tatar was welcomed by TAIK President Murat Özyegin and other officials. The Northern Cyprus leader received updates on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a roundtable discussion on Turkish-American business, TAIK’s activities, and trade between Turkish and American enterprises.
Emphasizing the importance of establishing closer ties through business and cooperation in various fields for a sustainable future, Ersin Tatar thanked TAIK officials for their invitation to the conference and expressed his satisfaction with the successful organization of the event, which brought together ministers from the Republic of Turkey and business representatives from both countries.
President Tatar also noted that TAIK serves as an essential platform for establishing strategic partnerships and promoting trade and economic relations across different sectors. During discussions with various representatives from the Turkish-American business community, he encouraged them to invest in the TRNC, highlighting the country's significant potential in tourism, construction, and higher education.
Additionally, the Northern Cyprus leader met with the Turkish Ambassador to the U.S., Sedat Onal, and members of the press. He was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, TRNC representative in New York Mehmet Dana, and foreign press officer Kerem Haser during the talks.
