General Information

The four-day Eid al-Adha will start on Sunday. Combined with the weekend, the holiday will last five days. At 06:10, a festive prayer will be performed in all mosques across the country.

President Ersin Tatar and his spouse Sibel Tatar will celebrate Eid with the public at the Presidential Palace at 10:00 on the first day of Eid. President and Prime Minister of the National Unity Party, Ersin Tatar and Uğur Ustel, will also meet with party members at the party headquarters at 09:30 on the first day of Kurban Bayram.

Sacrifices

Prices for Sacrifices

A sacrificial lamb is offered for sale on average for 13-17 thousand Turkish Lira, and a calf finds buyers for 100-130 thousand Turkish Lira.

Waste

Additional services will also be provided for the collection of sacrificial waste. Citizens performing sacrifices at home can call the municipality at 0548 816 6074 and request the collection of sacrificial waste. The carcasses, which should be placed in large garbage bags, will be promptly collected by mobile teams to prevent any unpleasant odors.

Police and Services Work

The main police department will be available to the public 24 hours a day during the Eid holiday.

For complaints and requests for assistance, "155 Police Assistance, 199 Fire Department, 156 Drugs," and other telephone lines will be available to the public 24 hours a day without interruption during the Eid holiday.

During the Eid holiday, TRNC residents can report all their requests on the Alo 185 Solution Line for 24 hours.

Nicosia

The Nicosia Department of Public Health and the Elderly Services Department will be on duty to provide assistance in emergencies, as will the team for assisting people with special needs. The Nicosia animal shelter will continue to provide regular care and feeding services, and water and food for homeless animals. The waste collection work regularly carried out by the LTB Cleaning Department will continue without delays or interruptions during the holiday.

Iskele

The Iskele Municipality Police Department will patrol the fairground and continue duty during the festival. The Environmental Protection and Health Department will also continue inspections and respond to complaints. The Iskele Municipality will also continue uninterrupted work on cleaning, burial, and water supply during the holiday. The Iskele Municipal Slaughterhouse will be open from 07:00 to 15:00 on Sunday and Monday, the first and second days of the holiday.

Lefke

The Lefke Municipality will continue its work on cemetery and waste cleaning during the Sacrifice Feast. The water department will continue to operate in case of emergencies.

Famagusta

The Famagusta Municipality will also continue its work. The Famagusta Municipal Slaughterhouse, which will be operational on the eve of the holiday, will be open throughout the holiday for sacrifices. Emergency response teams will be on duty in all municipal departments in case of emergencies, and can be contacted at 185 or 0548 816 6002 if needed. The current program for household waste collection will continue as usual during the Eid holiday, and general street cleaning will take place on the first day of Eid and on central streets on the other days.

Kireni

Güzeljurt

Hausmüll aus Wohnhäusern und Arbeitsstätten im Zentrum und in den Dörfern wird von Brigaden gemäß dem regulären Programm abtransportiert. Während des Feiertags wird eine Bereitschaftsbrigade im Einsatz sein, die für etwaige Störungen in den Netzwerken eingesetzt wird. Zusätzlich wird das Personal während des Feiertags auf den Friedhöfen Dienst leisten, und die Dienstleistungen werden ohne Unterbrechungen erbracht. Das Gebäude des Rathauses von Güzeljurt wird am Samstag von 09:00 bis 13:00 Uhr geöffnet sein, damit Bürger ihre Rechnungen bezahlen können. Das Schlachthaus wird für diejenigen geöffnet sein, die bereit sind, Opfertiere am ersten und zweiten Tag des Feiertags zu schlachten, und an den dritten und vierten Tagen geschlossen bleiben.

Arbeitsmarkt und Märkte

Der offene Markt, der normalerweise sonntags in der Innenstadt von Nikosia stattfindet, wird am Samstag, dem 15. Juni, und nicht am Sonntag, dem 16. Juni, am ersten Tag des Kurban-Bajram-Feiertags geöffnet sein.

Zusätzlich wird während des Eid-Feiertags auf dem Marktplatz in Nikosia ein Festplatz eingerichtet. Der städtische Markt (Bandabulia) wird am ersten, zweiten und dritten Tag des Kurban-Bajram-Feiertags geschlossen bleiben. Am Mittwoch, dem 19. Juni, am vierten Feiertag, wird er wieder für die Bewohner geöffnet sein.

Der Bajram-Markt, der am Freitag, dem 14. Juni, am öffentlichen Strand des Rathauses von Iskele beginnt, kann von 14:00 bis 24:00 Uhr während der Öffnungszeiten des Vergnügungsparks besucht werden. Der "Bajram" -Markt endet am Sonntag, dem 23. Juni.

Das Buffet "Babutsa" am öffentlichen Strand des Rathauses von Iskele wird während des Feiertags von 08:00 bis 24:00 Uhr geöffnet sein, und das Restaurant "Piknik" im Picknickbereich des Rathauses von Iskele wird am ersten Tag des Feiertags geschlossen und am Vorabend von 16:00 bis 24:00 Uhr sowie an anderen Feiertagen geöffnet sein.
